We love Beaver Creek and think it is an amazing big mountain, yet manageable for families and friends. It has great terrain for all types of skiers with many greens at the top of the main peak. This is not always the case at big mountains and, as such, lets everyone in on the action. Beaver Creek even hosts a World Cup Ski Event.  The village is very compact but well designed.

It has a few strategically located escalators which make access to-and-from the mountain more pleasant than any other ski resort in North America.  The skating rink is at the center of the village and is a hit with the kids and teenagers. It receives most of its use in late afternoon or evening.   During peak season there are often organized events or fairs for kids in the afternoon in the village.  Every Thursday night there are fireworks on the Mountain and a “Snake Ski down” with glow sticks.

Getting here: About a 2 and half hour drive from Denver Airport and 30 minutes past Vail.  Alternatively, Vail Eagle airport has non-stops from 9 cities (last we checked) and is 20 minute car ride away. Eagle Airport is a very easy no hassle type of airport.
